Experience Park City

Park City Main Street Sign

Welcome to Park City

Nestled high in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, Park City blends outdoor adventure, small-town charm, and modern mountain luxury. Once a silver-mining hub, it’s now known for world-class skiing, scenic summer trails, and a thriving arts and food scene. Whether you’re chasing snow, sunshine, or serenity, this guide will help you plan your perfect Park City getaway.

When to Visit

Park City is truly a four-season destination, each with its own personality:

Winter (Dec–Mar): Fresh powder, snow-covered peaks, and cozy après-ski culture make winter the town’s signature season. Enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Park City Mountain or Deer Valley Resort—or try something different, like snowtubing at Woodward Park City, a thrill for families and groups alike.

Spring (Apr–May):The snow melts, the wildflowers bloom, and you’ll find peaceful trails and off-season deals. It’s a great time for spa retreats and quiet escapes.

Summer (Jun–Aug):When the lifts trade skis for mountain bikes, the fun continues. Ride the Alpine Slide, explore the Utah Olympic Park (home to bobsled tracks and zip lines), or browse the lively Park Silly Sunday Market on Main Street. Hikers, bikers, and families love the sunny energy of Park City summers.

Fall (Sep–Nov):Golden aspens paint the hillsides and the crisp air makes it ideal for hiking and scenic drives. This is locals’ favorite time to explore without the crowds.

A local tip

Park City gets busy—especially during ski season and summer weekends. If there’s a spot you’re excited about, plan ahead by checking to see if they take reservations. For the places that do not accept reservations, be sure to account for the extra wait time to avoid any battles with the hanger monster. And when in doubt, ask a local. The best recommendations often come with a story or an unexpected turn of plans.

Stay somewhere that makes dining easy

Where you stay in Park City matters. Location can influence how—and how often—you dine out. Walkable neighborhoods mean spontaneous dinners and relaxed mornings. Spacious homes make take-out and stocked fridges feel like luxury.
